Mithila Vijay Stambh Anavaran smaroh

Numerous people full of vigour and chanting patriotic slogans,showering of rose petals, Melodies by Chandrika and stage hosted by Ramsevak Thakur ,gathering addressed by Pr Gitanath Jha,Sh Towab Ansari,Sh Shankar Jha Pramukh jjp,Sh Nirmal Kumar,SDM Jjp,Dr Rang Nath Choudhary and Hon MORD ,Bihar Sh Nitish Mishraji made this ceremony something different and special. When Hon. MORD Sh Nitish Mishraji uncovered the Vijay Stambh people started chanting slogans in his favour as well as Mithila and Maithili.The crowd was jubilant and the sky was engraved by the slogans like Jai Mithila Jai Maithili Jai Hind.On this auspicious occasion a book written by Dr Rangnath Diwaker was  presented to public by the Hon MORD Sh Nitish Mishraji.People were showing gratefulness towards Dr Rangnath Diwaker for this Mithila Vijay Stambh and the concern book.The ceremony took place on 12th Feb 2014

History Of Kandarpi Ghat

Kandarp  means  Kamdev  – a God of  beauty  and  sex. Kandarpighat  is  situated  at the bank  of  river  Kamla Balan  in  the  middle  of  villages Harina  and  Mahrail  under  Anhra Thadhi Block, Sub-Division  Jhanjharpur ,Dist-Madhubani,Bihar ,India.

In  the  year  1753  a  battle  – better  known  as   BATTLE  OF  KANDARPIGHAT – took  place  on   5, 6  and  7  October  between  the  armies  of   Mithilesh  Narendra  Singh  and  Alivardi  Khan  ( led  by  Bhikhari  Mahtha) . This  WAR  was  horrible .Fire Arms  were  used  first  time  in  Mithila  openly  by  both  sides .The  war  started  on  the  day  of  Maha astmi ( 5th  Oct ).Initially  the  Shahi Sena  was  leading,then  Mithilesh  Narendra  Singh  on  his  elephant  Gajendra  took  the  Field  personally  on  Mahadashmi  ( 7th Oct. ). After  knowing  this  fact,the  common  Maithil  of  this   locality, irrespective  of   caste  and  religion came  to   the  field   and   fought  for  their  Motherland  MITHILA . Thousands  of  people   sacrificed  their   lives  for  the   glory   and  prestige  of  Mithila .The  Gajendra  of   Mithilesh  was  killed and one of his Commanders Umrao  Singh  sacrificed his  life on the Balivedi  of  his  motherland  after  killing   his  counterpart  Salawt  Roy  and  others .After  a  debacle in   Shahi  Sena Bhikhari  Mahtha  with  his  rest  armi   fled  away .  Mithila  won  the  War .74  Ser Janeu  ( mixed  with  blood  of   martyrs  and  sand )  were weighed . This   digit  74  was   used by Maithils  on  their   confidential  letters  . It  was   assumed  that  if  some one,other  than  the   addressee   reads  the  letter  marked  74,the  reader   will  be  charged  with the sin  of   that  number of Brahm  Hatya   that  were killed   in   the  war  of   Kandarpighat .

By  the   efforts  of  Dr  Rang  Nath   Choudhary  ,  SDO -cum- SDM ,  Jhanjharpur  ( Madhubani )   a   MITHILA   VIJAY   STAMBH   is    under  construction   at   Kandarpighat   in  the   memories   of   that  rare   victory  and   glorious  martyrs.   Bhoomi  Poojan   and   Shilanyas    ceremony   was   organised   by   MITHILA   VIJAY    STAMBH   NIRMAN   SAMITI   on   20th   Jan.  2010.  Thousands  of   people   attended   grand   function   with   zeals   and   vigours . Bhoomi  Poojan    and   keeping   of    Foundation   Stone   ceremony   was   performed   by   Dr   Rang Nath Choudhary,Patron,M.  V.  S.  Nirman  Samiti.  Dr   Shashi Nath Jha,HOD,Vyakaran,K.S.D.S.University,Darbhanga was the ‘Purohit’ of this function.Recital of LAL KAVI’S ballad ‘Kandarpi Ghat Ki Ladaai’ was done by Shri Sunil Mishra.Atmoshphere was brimming with emotions and respect for the martyrs of  Kandarpi.

Kandarpi Ghat Mithila Vijay-Stambh Nirman Samiti aims at erecting a Victory Tower(Vijay Stambh) in remembrance of epic win of Mithila  in the year 1753.This Samiti is patroned by Dr.Rang Nath Diwakar.
